“Boulevard Place Food Pantry” is a “Special Work” of the Indianapolis Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. The pantry was established in 1982 in the basement of the offices of St. Thomas Aquinas parish. Over time the pantry expanded to include four other parishes (Christ the King, St. Joan of Arc, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and St. Luke) and it relocated to 4202 N. Boulevard Place, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46208. From its humble beginnings Boulevard Place is now the fifth largest food pantry in Marion County/Indianapolis, distributing more than 650,000 pounds of food in 2024.
